Over his illustrious career, Les has accrued extensive knowledge, having worked with IBM DB2 for 24 years and gaining experience with other database management systems like Informix, solidDB, and SQLServer. Furthermore, he keeps abreast of cutting-edge technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, BigInsights, BigSQL, Cloudant, and Compose.
Les King has left an indelible mark on IBM’s Hybrid Data Management strategies, spanning Big Data, Analytics, Database, and Cloud Data Services. He serves as a trusted advisor, both to clients and within IBM, leveraging his 25-year career in IBM Analytics to provide a holistic perspective encompassing technical and business dimensions. Les’s passion lies in empowering clients to strategically harness IBM solutions for their business needs through Information Management and Analytics technology.

He began his career as a developer and continues to impart his knowledge by periodically teaching development courses at post-secondary institutions in Toronto. His extensive academic journey includes roles as a professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Toronto and Seneca College, underlining his deep-rooted passion for education.
